Jodi Taylor is an English writer of fantasy-historical and romance novels, known for The Chronicles of St Mary’s series, about a group of historians who investigate major historical events.

Jodi Taylor worked for almost 20 years for North Yorkshire County Council, occupying different positions like Facilities Manager for the Library Service. She self-published her first book, Just One Damned Thing After Another, which was then picked up by Accent Press. Soon after that, the book made the USA Today Best-Selling Books list. Since then, Jodi Taylor hasn’t stopped writing and publishing new books, with historians or not.

Who is Nora Roberts?

Born Eleanor Marie Robertson in 1950, Nora Roberts is an American author of more than 200 romance novels. She also writes the romantic suspense series In Death under the pen name J.D. Robb. She has also published books under the pseudonyms Jill March and for publications in the U.K. as Sarah Hardesty. 

Before becoming a writer, she worked briefly as a legal secretary. She began to write during a blizzard in February 1979 while housebound with her two small boys and published her first novel, Irish Thoroughbred, in 1981. Since then, Nora Roberts never stopped writing and became the he first author to be inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame. Through the years, Nora Roberts has been awarded the Golden Medallion Award, RITA Award and Quill award — each of them multiple times.

Nora Roberts lives in Boonsboro, Maryland with her second husband who runs a bookstore in town. She owns an inn right on the town square, and has a charitable foundation, run by her son and his wife, that focuses on literacy.

Who is Santa Montefiore?

Born in 1970, Santa Montefiore (née Palmer-Tomkinson) is the daughter of Charles Palmer-Tomkinson, formerly High Sheriff of Hampshire, and Patricia Palmer-Tomkinson (née Dawson), of Anglo-Argentine background. She grew up on a farm in Hampshire and was educated at Sherborne School for Girls. 

Santa Montefiore has always wanted to be a writer. Before publishing books, she worked in public relations, but also as a shop assistant. She sent her first book under a nom de plume to distance herself from her sister, socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, and her writing career was officially launched in 2001 with the publication of  Meet Me Under the Ombu Tree. Since then, she has published at least one book a year.

Santa Montefiore is married to writer and historian Simon Sebag Montefiore, in which she has two children. Together, they have co-written the children’s books The Royal Rabbits of London.

Her books have sold over 40 million copies in more than 60 countries, and been translated into over 40 languages.

Maggie Stiefvater is an American writer of Young Adult fiction. Born Heidi Hummel in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Maggie Stiefvater wanted to be a fighter pilot and race-car driver as a child. Though, it seems those plans didn’t stop her to pass a lot of time reading and writing, as she was already submitting manuscripts to publishers by age 16.

Stiefvater published her first novel, Lament, in 2008 and found success with Shiver, the first book in her Wolves of Mercy Falls fantasy series.

In parallel to writing, Maggie Stiefvater plays various musical instruments, make art and sometimes write about cars for magazine. She lives in Virginia with her husband, her two children, her five dogs, some cows, a cat and a horse.
