An Introduction to How To Read Me

Hello,

My name is Fabien (found me on twitter) and I’m a reader. I read a lot of sci-fi and more and more mystery books. And I’m French. I read in English without difficulty, but we don’t use the same part of the brain to read and write, so I may make mistakes. Sorry for that.

When I launched this blog, it was a way for me to publish comic book reading orders, because it was what led me to the idea of needing a reading order in the first place.

Things changed and, today, I focus on fiction novels. Some people think that you don’t really need a guide for a lot of the series I wrote about, but it’s always helpful to know about all of the books, the ones that are available, and the ones you missed. Even if the list is just a simple publication order of the most straightforward series, it might be useful to someone.

As for the comic books, I worked with a friend of mine to launch comicbooktreasury.com which is totally dedicated to comic reading order, as you may have guessed.

A little disclaimer.

I didn’t read all the series I published articles about. It would be insane. At that point, most of my work is doing research, synthesizing the data, and producing a list I hope is helpful, easy to read, and without mistakes.

I also put the excerpt from the books. Why? Because I often need to know what a book is about to remember if I already read it or not. I suppose I’m not the only one. Very few comments on the blog criticized that. I’m sorry if it’s spoiled the story for you.

The thing is that most of the texts came from the official presentation written by the publisher. You can find them on the cover of the books. It’s like searching at the library and reading what the story is about. It’s useful to a lot of people. Though, I can only recommend you visit another website if this is a problem for you. Today, there are a lot of choices in the matter, I hope you’ll find one that is more to your liking.

Also, never forget that the best thing about books is not knowing what they will be about, be reading them!

That’s all for now.

  1. Hello Fabien, would like to appreciate the efforts you have put in to create this blog. This is my go to website to find about a book/author and the best part is the reading order! Thank you once again!
