Who is Kiera Cass?

Born 19 May 1981, Kiera Cass is an American writer of young adult fiction. A graduate of Radford University with a B.S. in History, her first book, The Selection, was published in 2012 by HarperTeen.

She is now a #1 New York Times bestseller and lives in California with her family, where she continues to write.

Who is John le Carré?

Born in 1931, David John Moore Cornwell is better known by his pen name John le Carré, The British author of espionage novels. He died in 2020 and left us with more than 20 books.

After working for the Security Service (MI5) and the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) during the ’50s and ’60s, John le Carré stopped doing spy work to work as a writer of spy stories. His most famous creation is George Smiley, a recurring character that can be described as the anti-James Bond, which tells you a lot about the kind of story le Carré has written during his long career.

Kristin Hannah was a lawyer in Seattle before becoming a full time writer. She’s now the best-selling author of more than 20 books, including Firefly Lane and The Nightingale, the latter published in 43 languages.

Recently, Hollywood seems to have take an interest for her work, as Firefly Lane has been turned into a TV series for Netflix, with Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl. Also, Home Front, The Nightingale, and The Great Alone have been optioned for films, the second one with the Fanning Sisters.

She is now a New York Times bestselling and Hugo Award-winning author, and a recipient of a 2020 MacArthur Fellowship.

Jemisin’s most frequent themes include resistance to oppression, the inseverability of the liminal, and the coolness of Stuff Blowing Up. She has been an advocate for the long tradition of science fiction and fantasy as political resistance, and previously championed genre as a New York Times Book reviewer. She lives in Brooklyn.

Who is Bernard Cornwell?

Born in London in 1944, Bernard Cornwell, is a british writer of historical novels, famous for being the creator of Napoleonic Wars rifleman Richard Sharpe but also for his Last Kingdom stories about the making of England.

He worked first as a teacher, before joigning the BBC Television for the next 10 years. He begun his career as a researcher on the Nationwide programme and ended as Head of Current Affairs Television for the BBC in Northern Ireland. At Belfast, he met his now wife, Judy, an American travel agent, and moved to the United States to be with her. He was refused a Green Card and decided to earn a living by writing, a job that did not need a permit from the US government. Finally, the adventures of a British soldier in the Napoleonic wars emerged… Later, the famous Richard Sharpe will also become a TV hero on ITV, and his Last Kingdom series has also been adapted for television by BBC.
