Who is Julia Quinn?

Julie Pottinger, better known by her pen name Julia Quinn, is a best-selling American author of historical romance, and the woman behind the wildly popular Bridgerton books, now a Netflix original series produced by Shondaland Media.

She sold her first book, Splendid, at the age of 24 and has been working with the same editor and publishing house for her entire career. Her books have been translated into 37 languages. In the United States alone, there are over 10 million copies of her books in print.

Who is Elizabeth Strout?

From a young age Elizabeth Strout was drawn to writing things down and spent hours in the local library. In 1982, she graduate and received a law degree and had her first story published in New Letters magazine.

She rose to prominence in 1998 with her book Amy and Isabelle, adapted into a television movie of the same name in 2001. In 2009, she won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction with her third novel, Olive Kitteridge (who will later become an HBO miniseries). She is widely known for her works in literary fiction and her descriptive characterization.

Who is John Gwynne?

John Gwynne is an award-winning British (but born in Singapore) author of fantasy series, but also a Viking re-enactor! He studied and lectured at Brighton University, he’s been in a rock ‘n’ roll band, playing the double bass, traveled the USA and lived in Canada for a time. He is married with four children and lives in Eastbourne, running a small family business rejuvenating vintage furniture.

He is mostly known for his The Faithful and the Fallen series, and the Of Blood and Bone series. His last series is The Bloodsworn Saga.

Who is Patrick Ness?

Patrick Ness is a British-American author, journalist, lecturer, and screenwriter best known for his books for young adults, including the Chaos Walking trilogy and A Monster Calls.

Ness studied English Literature at the University of Southern California and worked as corporate writer for a cable company after graduating. He published his first story in Genre magazine in 1997 and was working on his first novel when he moved to London in 1999 (The Crash of Hennington, published in 2003). Ness won the annual Carnegie Medal from the British librarians both in 2011 and in 2012, for Monsters of Men and A Monster Calls.

Who is Andy Weir?

Andy Weir is an American novelist who studied computer science at UC San Diego, although he did not graduate. He then worked as a programmer for several software companies, including AOL, Palm, MobileIron and Blizzard, where he worked on the video game Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness.

Weir begun to write in his twenties and self-published first on his website for years. Following some readers request, he made his book The Martian available on Amazon Kindle, first sold for 99 cents before being approached by a literary agent. He sold the rights of the book to Crown Publishing Group and the book has since been adapted into a film of the same name directed by Ridley Scott in 2015.

Jo Nesbø is a Norwegian writer, musician, economist, and former soccer player and reporter. But also a TV producer now.

Nesbo’s most famous series is “Harry Hole,” but he also wrote some children fictions (Doctor Proctor’s Fart Powder) and more crime series. What you may not know is that he is the main vocalist and songwriter for the Norwegian rock band Di Derre.
