What is The Camel Club series about?

American writer David Baldacci is best known for writing Memory Man, the first book in the Amos Decker series, or the stand-alone novel Absolute Power. He is also the writer of The Camel Book Series, a mystery thriller about four unlikely partners.

Together, they are known as The Camel Club, a group of truth-seekers. Why Camel Club? As Stone, one of them said in the book, it’s “Because camels have great stamina. They never give up.”

The Camel Club follows the man without a past “Oliver Stone”; obsessive computer genius Milton Farb; blue-collar laborer Reuben Rhodes; and Library of Congress reference specialist Caleb Shaw.

This group works to expose corruption at the upper echelons of the US government. In their mission, they are helped by a Secret Service agent, a homeless activist, and a con artist.

Written by Anchorage native writer Dana Stabenow (Liam Campbell, Eye of Isis), the Kate Shugak series takes us to Alaska for some dangerous mysteries.

The series revolves around Kate Shugak, a native Aleut, who is working as a private investigator in Alaska. She has light brown eyes, black hair, is five foot one with an angry scar from ear to ear, and owns a half-wolf, half-husky dog named Mutt.

Described as resourceful, strong-willed, and defiant, Kate is tough, and she needs to be if she wants to survive the worst the Alaskan wilds can throw at her.

What is the Hidden Norfolk series about?

Coming from British author J.M. Dalgliesh, Hidden Norfolk is a murder mystery series set, you guessed it, in Norfolk.

This series is focusing on the investigations led by DI Tom Janssen and his team that are described as “dark murder mysteries peppered with humor and a touch of romance.”

J.M. Dalgliesh is also writing the Dark Yorkshire crime series, featuring DI Nathaniel Caslin.

What is the Dave Robicheaux series about?

Now sheriff’s deputy in New Iberia, Louisiana, Dave Robicheaux was once an officer for the New Orleans Police Department. He’s got the tendency to breach the ethical code during his investigations.

The main protagonist in the series written by James Lee Burke, Vietnam vet Dave Robicheaux didn’t have an easy life, and this has not changed, but he keeps going on, doing his work.

Both first Alec Baldwin and Tommy Lee Jones played Dave Robichaux. The first is in “Heaven’s Prisoners“, and the second is in “In the Electric Mist“.
