Adventures through time with Jack and Annie!

What is the Magic Tree House series about?

Magic Tree House is an American series of children’s books written by the American author Mary Pope Osborne and illustrated by Salvatore Murdocca until 2016, after which AG Ford took over.

This is the story of Jack and Annie Smith, two normal children from the fictional small town of Frog Creek, Pennsylvania, who are sent on missions through time by Morgan Le Fay (then by Merlin) with the help of a magical tree house.

Magic Tree House Books in Order:

After book #28, Mary Pope Osborne made a change to the story, which led to the “Merlin Missions” (Merlin the Magician took over for Morgan Le Fay) that were written for more advanced readers, before going back – after a decade – to the old format. In the following list, the two series are separated. The regular Magic Tree House books for the younger reader first, then the Magic Tree House: Merlin Missions books.

The books of the Magic Tree House series can be read as standalone.
