Who is Harry Sidebottom?

Harry Sidebottom is a British historian who is known for writing historical novels.

A Quondam Fellow and Tutor in Ancient History at St. Benet’s Hall, Oxford, and lecturer at Lincoln College, Harry Sidebottom is also writing non-fiction history books– and he appeared as a presenter on the History Channel’s Ancient Discoveries.

Of course, Sidebottom is mostly known for his two series of historical novels the Warrior of Rome, and Throne of the Caesars.

Who is Asa Larsson?

Åsa Larsson was a tax lawyer but is now a bestselling/award-winning Swedish crime-fiction writer.

Larsson is mostly known for her Rebecka Martinson series, about a lawyer who returns to her hometown in Kiruna and gets involved in the search for a killer. 

Her book Sun Storm (aka The Savage Altar) was adapted as a movie, the 2007 Swedish film titled Solstorm starring Izabella Scorupco, and as a TV series titled Rebecka Martinsson: Arctic Murders starring Sascha Zacharias.

Who is Hannah Dennison?

Hannah Dennison is a British-born writer who worked for a time for a local weekly newspaper, then as a secretary and a flight attendant. That’s how she met Steven Spielberg who encouraged her to pursue her dream of writing books.

But first, this led her to Hollywood where she worked for various film studios and learned how to write screenplays. After a few years, she enrolled in the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program (she still occasionally teaches mystery writing workshops there) but also took a job working for the chairman of a west coast advertising agency. Time passed and Hannah Dennison finally moved back to the English countryside and wrote her books.

As a writer, Hannah Dennison is known for her multiple series: Vicky Hill, The Honeychurch Hall, and Island Sisters Mysteries.

Who is Joshilyn Jackson?

Joshilyn Jackson is an American author from Florida, and a former actor (which helps her as she is the one who reads the audio versions of her novels).

After getting BA in English literature from Georgia State University and an MA in creative writing from the University of Illinois at Chicago, she started her writing career with Gods in Alabama in 2005.

Joshilyn Jackson describes her writing style as “Weirdo Fiction with a Shot of Southern Gothic Influence for Smart People Who Can Catch the Nuances but Who Like Narrative Drive, and Who Have a Sense of Humor but Who Are Willing to Go Down to Dark Places.” It certainly is successful as her books have been translated into a dozen languages.

Also, she serves on the board of and volunteers with Reforming Arts, teaching creative writing inside Lee Arrendale State Prison, Georgia’s maximum security facility for women.
