  1. What a delight! Have just finished reading “An Irish Country Courtship”. This is my introduction to the series written by Patrick Taylor. Definitely will be reading more.
Although originally from the U.K. , Birmingham suburbs actually, much of that which you have written rings so many bells for me. I was born in 1936, the youngest of six children and my childhood spent during the WW2 air raids etc etc.
My father was a WW1 veteran (given six months to live – gassed lungs – except Angel of Lourdes appeared at foot of hospital bed and told him he was not going to die! The Angel appeared to many soldiers so was not unusual)! He was an amateur ornithologist and thus, as a child, I spent most of my weekends roving the English countryside. I could go on and on (🙂🙂) this is just to let you know how your book evoked those memories for me.
    Thank you again
    Sincerely, Jean Palmer

  2. I was told about the Irish country series in about 2012. It was recommended reading for my elderly mother-in-law. Not only did she love it, but also my mother and I as welI. I went on a search to purchase each book from the beginning. My mother-in-law and my mother both passed in 2015. My husband buys me each new installment as it comes out. I have read them all. I feel a closeness to my Mom and my Irish roots when reading. I look forward to Christmas when the next one will be under the tree!
God bless you, Patrick Taylor. You have an amazing gift.

  4. Thanks for Sharing,

What fun! After reading “An Irish Country Courtship,” I’m done. This serves as an introduction to Patrick Taylor’s series. Without a doubt, I’ll read more. Even though I’m originally from the UK—the suburbs of Birmingham, to be exact—a lot of what you’ve written resonates with me.

Over all, the book was worth it, and I really felt it, but I also tried to find it on other platforms too, but I didn’t get it. I think this should get published on other online platforms like Shabd.in so it can reach more people.
